The History Of The Khitan Is Prescribed

Circumcision is the teaching of Islam and human nature. Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

الفطرة خمس: الختان والاستحداد ونتف الإبط وتقليم الأظفار وقص الشارب

"Fitrah there are five: circumcision, istihdad (shaved pubic hair), pulled the armpit hair, cut the nails and shave the mustache." (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)

Circumcision began to be prescribed since the time of Prophet Ibrahim 'alaihissalam and he himself who first did it at the age of 80 years.

From Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,

اختتن إبراهيم بعد ثمانين سنة, واختتن بالقدوم

"Ibrahim did circumcision after the age of 80 years. He is circumcised with the ax. "(Narrated by Bukhari)

He performed circumcision on the orders of Allah Ta'ala. Allah Ta'ala says:

وإذ ابتلى إبراهيم ربه بكلمات فأتمهن قال إني جاعلك للناس إماما قال ومن ذريتي قال لا ينال عهدي الظالمين

"And (remember), when Ibrahim tested his Rabb with a few sentences (command and prohibition), then Ibrahim accomplished it. Allah says: "I will make you a priest for all men". Ibrahim said: "(And I beg of it) from my descendants". Allah says: "My (this) promise is not about the wrongdoers." (Surat al-Baqarah: 124)

some of these sentences (commands and restrictions), which are performed are God's commands of circumcision.

And the khitan became the Shari'a of the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam because he was commanded by Allah to follow the teachings of Hanafa Ibrahim. One of them is circumcision

Allah Ta'ala said,

ثم أوحينا المشركين إلى

"" Then We revealed to you (Muhammad): "Follow the religion of Ibrahim a Hanif". And he is not among those who associate "(an-Nahl: 123)

According to WHO data in 2007, it is estimated that 30 percent of men worldwide have been circumcised. Circumcision proven to reduce the risk of urinary tract infections. An international meeting held in Switzerland that decides and recommends male circumcision as an HIV / AIDS prevention effort of up to 60 percent. Indication of circumcision is divided into two, namely religious and medical indications. Often parents want their children circumcised to run the religious shari'a.

Circumcision is also recommended to people who have recurrent infections in the penis caused by dirt buildup, or called smegma. Some of the most common medical indications for circumcision are phimosis and paraphimosis. Phimosis is a condition when the prepuce, or the foreskin of the penis, can not be pulled back. This condition is usually painless but can lead to blockage of urine with the infusion of the prepusium and can lead to chronic inflammation.

While parafimosis is a condition when the prepusium is interested and left behind the head of the penis. This prepusium will clamp and cause swelling of blood vessels and pain.
