Circumcision is the teaching of Islam and human nature.
Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,
الفطرة خمس: الختان والاستحداد ونتف الإبط وتقليم الأظفار وقص الشارب
"Fitrah there are five: circumcision, istihdad (shaved
pubic hair), pulled the armpit hair, cut the nails and shave the
mustache." (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)
Circumcision began to be prescribed since the time of
Prophet Ibrahim 'alaihissalam and he himself who first did it at the age of 80
years.
From Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu, the Prophet
sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,
اختتن إبراهيم بعد ثمانين سنة, واختتن بالقدوم
"Ibrahim did circumcision after the age of 80 years. He
is circumcised with the ax. "(Narrated by Bukhari)
He performed circumcision on the orders of Allah Ta'ala.
Allah Ta'ala says:
وإذ ابتلى إبراهيم ربه بكلمات فأتمهن قال إني جاعلك للناس إماما
قال ومن ذريتي قال لا ينال عهدي الظالمين
"And (remember), when Ibrahim tested his Rabb with a
few sentences (command and prohibition), then Ibrahim accomplished it. Allah
says: "I will make you a priest for all men". Ibrahim said:
"(And I beg of it) from my descendants". Allah says: "My (this)
promise is not about the wrongdoers." (Surat al-Baqarah: 124)
some of these sentences (commands and restrictions), which
are performed are God's commands of circumcision.
The History
Of The Khitan Is Prescribed
And the khitan became the Shari'a of the Prophet Muhammad
sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam because he was commanded by Allah to follow the
teachings of Hanafa Ibrahim. One of them is circumcision
Allah Ta'ala said,
ثم أوحينا المشركين إلى
"" Then We revealed to you (Muhammad):
"Follow the religion of Ibrahim a Hanif". And he is not among those
who associate "(an-Nahl: 123)
